Medina Gives back
Medina gives back
As the area’s professional source for the best in service, Medina Lawncare is also known for their time honored tradition of giving back to the community. The company, its owners and staff continually support many organizations locally and in Mexico.
President of Medina Lawncare and Chicago Firefighter, Carlos Medina has generously given his time, attention, equipment, hard work and donations to a variety of grateful recipients annually.
The company’s recent transformation of an area into a park resulted in the Chicago Fire Department having this to say,
“…you transformed a chunk of concrete into a beautiful park. …I would like to thank Medina Lawncare for their incredibly generous assistance.”
“With their expert counsel I was able to work with the city and the local community group that manages the park to develop a strategy to make all this work. …Medina Lawncare was with us throughout, especially during the cleanup – they were invaluable!” -Office of the Chaplain, Chicago Fire Department
Annually, Medina Lawncare holds toy drives that support Rainbow House, a women’s shelter. The company has graciously donated their snowplow service and landscaping services to myriad local community projects.
Additionally, Carlos Medina originally from Durango, Mexico returned to his hometown to give the town equipment they needed to save lives. Driving nearly 4000 miles round trip from Chicago to Durango, Mexico three times, Carlos and his brother, Director of Projects of Medina Lawncare, Sergio Medina, travelled to Durango to deliver much needed fire engines, an ambulance and necessary lifesaving equipment.
The extended Medina family helped out with the repair of one of the fire engines and the funding of all the trips to Mexico to donate the equipment.
The leadership of the town gratefully accepted the equipment and even named the ambulance in memory of a family member. Read more
